[Fireworks. Madoka loved fireworks! And she was glad that she had managed to convince her two friends to come with her. That's why they were all sitting on a blanket and watching it happen.]

[Mami had put up very little resistance, because... well. It was good to get a chance to clear her head. Seeing Homura no longer brought an immediate flood of memories from her final moments, so maybe this was a good chance to catch up with her dear junior.]

Mm, me too... it's been ages since I've had the chance to watch a fireworks show.

It's nice that we're able to experience these things, here. [Peace is something all of them could use. She knows this. The fact that Homura and Mami can do these things here makes her happy.]

You're right. [It's... almost strange, being so at ease. It had taken a while for her to calm down after she first arrived here, and again after Homura arrived... that - plus all the fighting she had done back home - meant Mami hadn't truly relaxed in ages. So she's thankful for this moment.]

I didn't think I would be able to enjoy myself here, so far away from home... it seems I was wrong.

Home... [She's right. Ever since they formed their group, back before everything went to hell, there was that something stirring that she hadn't felt since her family died. It had taken a while, but she's starting to feel the first sparks of it again.] Whoever said that must be a very wise person.

[ Madoka's smile makes her smile in return, something small and constrained but something very real. Madoka had been the one to tell her that, in a previous timeline.

She doesn't say anything more, just enjoys the moment. Hope feels so bright and so strong here and while she isn't familiar with this place yet it's okay. Because Madoka is here. Mami is here. There's a lot going on in her head, but right now it all settles to the bottom. ]

She gasps when she sees a particulary pretty one.]
