[ Tsukuyo's looking around with mild interest as she patrols the surroundings. Festivals weren't really her thing; she doesn't even remember participating in any back in the Yoshiwara (and if there were festivals there, they'd be much more... bawdier.) This one would definitely take them back to more innocent times, if there were any for them. The girls would have loved to see this, she thought to herself as she makes her way through the throng of people. She would kill for a smoke, but she'd just run out and pay day was still days away. She'll distract herself with the sights and sounds of the festival then, wondering why there was a multitude of misteltoe strung around. ]

[It's odd almost, to see Tsukuyo without her pipe and ranks about as unsettling as Shinpachi without his glasses. On second thought, maybe not that high; Katsura without Elizabeth? Kagura without Sadaharu?

Gintoki doesn't dwell on the thought for too long before he discards it completely. When he approaches Tsukuyo, he doesn't smile, but he does give her a nod, and his tone isn't as dead as it normally is.]

Yo. Probably not as lively as Yoshiwara, huh?

[And probably not quite as adult oriented either.]

Patrol? The hell? [And then he remembers who he's talking to, so have a grunt.] Ditch the job and buy something for yourself. Whatever it is that para-military leaders spend their money on. There's gotta be four or five others circling the place right? It'll be fine.

[A good question that. The answer that feels most natural is to drink, but he remembers quite clearly what happens when Tsukuyo is given even the tiniest amount of alcohol; it's not an experience he would like to re-live, nor subject others to.

Gintoki looks around for something of interest, and his eyes come to rest on the hot chocolate stand. It's nothing overly fun, but it is free.]

Hell if I know, but we could go and grab some hot chocolate and walk around a bit. I think there's some live shows going on throughout the night.

Never tried a hot chocolate before... people would think you've lived in a cave all your damn life.

[Well, if by cave he means Yoshiwara, then yes...]

It's R-rated in the exact same way a kid is given control of a toy store in Yoshiwara. [No that doesn't quite make much sense, but he's panicking for the sake of his well being. Brb, grabbing her arm and giving her a slight pull backwards, away from that horrible stall.]

Waitwaitwait, are you sure you don't want to try the hot chocolate? It's good, you know? Chocolate is good for you. It makes you happy and apparently gets rid of period related cramps. It's the stuff of miracles!
