Raenef, Open, wherever/whenever mock_me_vermin September 7 2011, 05:29:04 UTC
[Raenef was wandering around looking at the booths and activities available at the festival. It had looked fun and he had never been to one before. At least, not for long. Pretty much the whole town knew him and the other kids in the Thieve's Guild on sight back home, so even if and when they got into any attraction they were often kicked out since they obviously had no money for anything.]

[There's a little baby following you, Raenef. Wearing a Santa hat and fake beard. He's also about one foot tall]

[Not noticing the bebe at first. But then he thinks he hears something behind him. Footsteps? Little ones? O-oh....there's a little kid. Was he lost? Kneeling in front of him.]

O-oh....are you lost?

[Looking straight back] Not really, I'm exploring.

There is a lot to do around here at the festival, huh? [With the way it stares back and actually talks....Raenef gets the feeling he might be older than he looks.]

Do you not celebrate Christmas where you come from?

mock_me_vermin September 11 2011, 04:22:53 UTC
No. Might have been something similar with the Clerics, but I wouldn't know. I mean, I grew up on the streets, so we never really....celebrated anything like this before.

Nothing like this at all? That is...somewhat surprising.

You think so....? It seemed a few people didn't know about it over the network.....

For any universe not to have an equivalent holiday is just a little hard to believe, to me. Though I have also noticed that.

Winter solstice festivals? I would think so.

Seems like it. Decorations everywhere and the trees and stuff, I mean.

It's been built up quite a bit in popular culture, and has quite a long standing history. At least in some forms.
