[ By now, Ahiru had squashed down any guilt over just leaving a note to tell Fakir where she was going. And besides, he would have just tried to stop her if she asked him if she could go, right?

The petite redhead fit into the cheery atmosphere with ease, a smile hanging loosely on her lips as she looked around in wonder. It was nothing like the Fire Festival back at home - this was far bigger and more brightly colored and decorated - but there was dancing.

...Just not the sort of dancing she was used to.

Upon spotting Edgeworth off to the side, though, her eyes lit up and her smile widened as she immediately made a bee-line toward him. It was always great to see a familiar face in unfamiliar places! Even if the man didn't look all too happy, himself.

All too enthusiastically, she waved as she approached him. ]

Hi, Mr. Edgeworth!

[ He definitely looked much better with a smile than a frown, Ahiru decided.

Coming to a stop in front of him, the same grin stayed on her face as she rocked back and forth on her feet. ]

Do you like parties, Mr. Edgeworth? There's lots of things to do here, but you're standing over here all by yourself!

[ And people were supposed to have fun at parties, right? ]

[ Ahiru blinked, head tilting to the side curiously. ]

Requested? So someone asked you to come?

[ Turning left and right, she looked around as if that person would suddenly step forward. ]

[ Ahiru didn't know the details, of course, but she couldn't help but think it seemed a little rude for people to invite him and then leave him there standing alone.

...Well, maybe he liked to be away from the crowds and he could certainly take care of himself, but...

She was thinking too much into it, wasn't she? ]

That's nice of you to come even if you don't like parties. But there must be something here you'd like to do or see, right? It can't be that fun just standing over here by yourself!

[ A smile quickly made its way back onto her face. ]

Oh! I was watching that, too! The dancers were really good!

[ She blinked at the mention of ice skating. ]

Oh, you mean where people are dancing on the ice? It looks...

[ Like it would be easy to fall down... ]

...Hard. You must have really good balance!

[Edgeworth may have witnessed Raidou's impromptu dancing lesson with Franziska. The detective is leaving the dance floor at the moment, looking mildly bemused. He can never quite tell whether she likes him at all or not...]
