THE WESTERN ARMY + a stop sign anchorsurfs July 2 2011, 07:58:03 UTC
[He's resonated with Mitsunari before, except he doesn't remember how well that went. But he knows that it's possible and if Mitsunari is agreeable to it, it's an alternative method of fighting. With Shizuo they were heavy hitters, capable of doing large scale damage very easily. Mitsunari would probably bring a whole different set of abilities which would hopefully allow them to adapt to any kind of enemy that comes their way.

For now he'll stick with Shizuo as they run down the corridors looking for kishin to fight. He grips the other tightly and keeps his guard up as they move.]

[ooc: Becci is on hiatus so we can skip her if need be and KB is our npc bug her for details, and if anything needs to be changed just tell me!]

[Mitsunari had chosen to remain a few paces behind Motochika and his Weapon, guarding the man's rear as they made their way through the corridor. Though Motochika and Shizuo were capable of taking out a good number of Kishin in but a single hit, Mitsunari knew that the threat of an ambush always lingered on. Though he isn't used to being on the defensive, he treads with caution, walking backwards and keeping an eye out.

So far, so good.]

It's quiet here... [He moves backwards a few quick paces, closing the space between himself and Motochika a bit more in order to keep his voice low.]

Do you not find it odd?

[Motochika likewise slows his steps.]

It is. From what I've seen they're not capable of planning out an attack.

[He's sure that they're the only ones in this area, the other team that was also sent to the West side had taken a different route to them. Besides if another team had passed ahead before them there would be evidence all along the walls.]

Think this means there's something big ahead?

[Lowering his stance, Mitsunari walks beside Motochika and turns around to face in front of them - glancing over his shoulder, unable to shake a lingering uncertainty as he speaks.]

Shall I run ahead?

[Motochika is hesitant to send Mitsunari ahead by himself. They're all capable fighters he knows that, but the enemy they're facing is beyond normal capabilities.]

Mitsunari, do you know what you're capable of and if it's possible to use it by yourself?

[Rampaging while on the influence of a madness wavelength is not the best way to figure out a Weapons abilities, so questioning it is.]

Scouting would need stealth and speed. [Something he knows that he and Shizuo lack.]

[There's a pause before Mitsunari responds, letting out a bit of a scoff in an attempt to mask his true thoughts. In honesty, he's still learning what his weapon form is capable of and what it grants him - but the fact he's never been capable of maintaining transformation without a meister isn't something he wants people, let alone Motochika, to know.

He turns his gaze ahead of them, looking down the hall.]

I have always been capable of such things, pirate.

...terribly sorry about the lateness OTL anchorsurfs August 22 2011, 22:50:25 UTC
[While no one can see Shizuo's eyeroll, Motochika can feel the slight irritation his partner gives off. Shizuo and Mitsunari appear to be a volatile combination and it appears any contact between them should be kept as short as possible in the future or give them something to occupy their attention instead, in this case hopefully they'll find a kishin soon.

No point in arguing now, so he chooses to take the neutral route.]

Then I'll count on you to continue to watch our back then. And Shizuo's right, it'll be best to stick together where we can continue to support each other.

England & Sohki, and Hisoka! holy_prankster July 2 2011, 13:44:45 UTC
[Despite being blind, Sohki effortlessly navigated his way down the hallway.

He'd caught sight of a number of kishin souls along the way, but they'd been fortunately too far away to be bothered with. That was why he hadn't bothered to mention it.]

There's something up ahead.

[While the others couldn't see it yet, Sohki could see the purple soul just further down the next corridor. He'd never seen a purple like that before.]

[England had easily transformed earlier, and now his soul was in-sync with Sohki's. They had not had a very long time to train together, but England trusted Sohki. He knew the kirin would not run from a battle, and that he was strong, stronger than the country was in a lot of ways. And while he did not know the other man, England felt that that did not matter. Though... why was he without a partner?]

I'm ready.

[How the filthy humans had found this factory was a mystery, but she wasn't going to let them out of here with their lives. She might not have been as strong as some of the other Witches here, but she could defeat a couple of weak Shibusen fools.

With a near-crazed smile on her face, Sif chanted beneath her breath to conjure up her little pets. The air around her crackled with electricity, and soon enough six electrified serpent-like eels emerged and began heading down the corridor towards the junction hiding the coming prey.]

Hisoka was gracefully and swiftly moving forward, a toothy grin on his face, eyes narrowed into predatory slits. This was what he lived for. He let out a low chuckle as he spotted something...no, things...moving down the corridor towards him.

They looked like a kind of snake. The hair on Hisoka's arms raised as electricity crackled through the air.

Well now, that makes things a little more interesting.

He wasn't bothered by the electricity at all - instead, Hisoka lunged at the closest one, dodging its fangs and grabbing it around the neck from behind.

Willpower and training prevented him from hissing as electricity shot through his body, but he refused to let go. He could smell the burning of hair on his arms and his hands began to blister. The head of the serpent whipped around, trying to bite him to make him let go.

It seems as though so is our companion.

[There was amusement in his tone. He knew that there was only one way for Hisoka to learn, and he wouldn't strip the fighter of that lesson.

Running swiftly behind Hisoka's soul, he caught sight of the small ones attached to the familiars. Moving to dart around Hisoka, Sohki prepared himself to defend against the eels as he caught sight of the Witch just up ahead.]

Oh ho~ now this could prove interesting.

[It wasn't the first time he'd been in battle against one.]

[England can't see too well, so he can only provide strength to Sohki's soul. But he does see the little beasts]

Wh-what are they? [too bad he couldn't summon his own monsters...]
