[Today's temperatures will be 67/42F (19/5C). Not as bad as yesterday, huh?

[Looks like the battle is over for now...I hope you guys are alright. I think we all need a nice nap, don't you think? What better way to do so than by reading the newspaper? BORING, ISN'T IT? But you can find a copy in the lobby of your apartment complexes if you looked...

Today's article:

Death City Times

KISHIN EGGS ATTACK CITIES, CASUALTIES AT 689.

Death City, Moscow, New York, Brighton and Paris suffered kishin egg attacks yesterday morning, amounting to a total of 689 civilian casualties. Reports say that just before midnight, the scouts in the various city perimeters noticed large groups of kishin egg flocking toward the cities. Emergency alerts were raised and evacuation procedures were swiftly carried out.

Death City, home to the headquarters of Shibusen, emerged relatively unscathed from this unprecedented event with casualties only amounting to 8 civilian-volunteers and a still-unknown number of Shibusen technicians. New York suffered the most during the attack with 435 civilians killed and property damage estimated at 450M$D. Fights are still ongoing in New York; it is reported that the North American Deathscythe and company have joined the fray since the state of emergency was lifted from Death City. Moscow, Brighton and Paris were able to fend off the attack with casualty numbers of 69, 102, and 75 respectively, and moderate property damage.

Shibusen has released a public alert for attacks in other areas and countries. The resounding success of the Death City defense is attributed to the high numbers of meisters and weapons in the city -- about three-fourths of which are the acclaimed guests from other worlds -- and the early warning they received from their operatives.

PS. Don’t forget to turn in your summaries in the mission thread, by the way!
