*pokes head in* SW, is that really you? I didn't know you had an lj account! And once I finish replying to this wonderful post, I'll add you to my friends.

First of all, you have quite a way with words, my friend. You raise some excellent points, many of which I discuss with my friends (well, those who actually care about politics anyway), and while I'd like to go on and on about how I agree completely, I'll save you the pain of reading it all.

Secondly, I have to applaud you on your distinction between a conservative and a Conservative, because there really is a difference, and so few people I talk to seem to understand this point.

Being a conservative or a liberal is not a label or a political affiliation; it’s a philosophical perspective.

So true, and it can't be said any better than that. *claps*

I look forward to reading more of your rambles; they're certainly very interesting! :D

Hi there! Thanks so much for stopping by. I've moved my political rants to a blog and I haven't been posting much on Lj since. :(
