If I had the feeling that time had come to a stand still before, the fact that the rest of the worlds have moved on to Christmas and a new year isn't helping.

Even with my time limited, I can't seem to feel grateful. I wonder if this place has been letting me get by without sharing everything because of how unfestive I'd be, like this. Heh.

Less responsibility? [He takes a drag off of his cigarette, leaning back further, looking straight up to the ceiling and allowing the smoke to form a vertical stream into the air before giving a bitter smirk. That's one way to put a silver lining on the decreasing number of villagers: fewer people to be responsible for.

He looks back down to the screen again, setting the cigarette back in place between his lips.]

I'm not so cold a man that I'd consider you being beaten and bloodied out of commission any kind of improvement.
