Twist the knife, why don't you? ;) No but seriously, this is beautifully written and teared me up. I think you captured his emotions perfectly, as much as it makes me bleed for him.
You say so much with so few words, which gives each sentence all the more weight. There are so many sentences in this short fic that hit home but I think my favorite bit is this: So strange, that people wander into your life and touch it in such a way that it becomes so much more extraordinary. So frightening, that they can wander out just as quickly and leave you a stranger to yourself.
