Obama's stimulus package included changing the tax tables for 2009 and 2010 to give people earning $75,000 or less (filing single) more take home pay. Those tax tables were available the end of February. The software my company uses to create paychecks for our clients updated their tables the first week of March. I bet it's been a while since Mr. Mezistrano had to actually deal with the day-to-day effects of such a thing.

The first thing that occurred to me was to wonder how he dealt with such a thing. (Yes, I know it's an "about.com" link.)
