(Oooh! It came back! I had this almost completely typed up a couple nights ago, then switched to a different website without using a new window, and lost it. I forgot that you have to do a "new" post to have it show up again. So, anyway, maybe I'll save my other planned post for another day!)

I think this is the first list I've seen where I hadn't read most of the books. I've read Snow Crash and The Wolves in the Walls and liked both. I've also seen the Swedish film of Let The Right One In which I thought was excellent.

I've only read two of the books on your list, too! The Tolkien (of course), and Pride and Prejudice (that is the one with the Bennett's, isn't it?).

The American version of the movie is very good, also, but it takes a different tack. There's so much from the book that has to be left out to make it feature movie length, and the two versions did it differently. Chloe Grace Moritz does a good job in it. The book, of course, is miles better.

This does not surprise me at all.;-) My life would be amazingly different if I hadn't discovered Martian Chronicles, I think. I was so sad when Ray Bradbury died.
