I think the color palette you played with is awesome! And you did a great job with highlights and shadowing. The gif cracked me up! You communicated the conversation so well with just pictures. Beautiful illustrations :)

Highlights and shadowing were the hardest parts about this so I'm delighted that you think it's working! And that you like the colors :). I was most doubtful about completely veering from natural light and about not even sticking with tone in tone colors for each piece, but in the end the muses get what the muses want, right? So THERE is the gif I couldn't see no matter what I tried, and I love it! :D I am glad you changed the font though- this looks a lot awesomer, and clearer too. I was going to mail that to you, but you know how it's been :D

Lovely set! I LOOOOOVE Sam in the bright pic, he's so pretty. And his hair! This is wonderful.

Honey, did my last PM reach you or did LJ do its annoying thing again? Let's move this back to mail if you're all powered up again? The font change was the first thing my beta suggested, too :). See? You would make an awesome art beta, too.

Yay for Sam's hair! And Jared's general prettiness! I think the reference picture for this was from one of their early conventions. He looked so adorable with that blinding smile, it was the perfect fit for this :). I'm so happy you're loving it!

Wow, these are beautiful!

I love the vibrancy of the colour palette, it feels very light and breezy. The highlights and shadows are very effective on the portraits and that gif is just adorable.

What an awesome set!

BRILLIANT. I thought I loved the gif best of ANYTHING, but then I saw the end piece with the kitten and now IT'S A TIE, so much love! I loved the story, and these illustrations jut put it way over the top. AWESOME; great job.

Also, GROWN-UP SAM'S HAIR. <3

Grown-up Sam's hair is made of awesome! I used an earlier picture of Jared as a reference and the hair was a deciding factor for sure. Just, gah. Thank god I'm not the only one ;). Thank you for leaving such a lovely comment!
