I enjoyed reading this. Poor Jack, though. The guy really needs to come to his senses. (I read Winter before this one, and now I'm really looking forward to the fic between these two stories).

Thank you! And he'll get help in that respect, I promise. I was trying to get all three stories done on time, but I couldn't quite make it. Glad you enjoyed.

Behind-the-scenes/alternate interpretation fic is pretty much my favorite thing in SG-1 fic anyway, but add a deep consideration of the characters as they are now, spot-on dialogue, and a great balance of angst and humor, and you've got me without qualification. I loved the complexity you gave the story and the characters. Excellent fic!

Oh, wow, thank you so much. That's some of the best feedback I've ever had, and you complimented me on just exactly what I was trying to do with this story. Thank you.

I'll admit that I've always been more of a Jack/Sam fan than anything else, but I can honestly see the relationship between Sam/Daniel working just like this. Very nicely done, I enjoyed reading it. Thank you for sharing. :)

Thank you! I have to say that I've never really been a Sam/Jack shipper, since usually I'm a slash writer almost exclusively. For me, most relationships that I create in fic tend to be friendship-turned-to-more stories, and for het in this fandom, that, to me, means Sam/Daniel. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it!

I must say it took me 2 days to read this (only because pesky RL and JOB wanted more attention) and it will go as a mem. This was beautiful, a lovely blend of S/D (my fav!) a little angst, a dash of D/J and a pinch of S/J mixed in with wonderful dialogue and spot on pregression of thoughts and emotions.

In case you didn't notice, I really, really liked it!

Thank you so much! I'm especially glad to hear that I nailed the progression of friends to falling in love, as that's something that's hard to really get down on paper.

This story is so well-written. I can see Daniel and Sam progressing into a relationship just like this. The characterizations were spot on and I loved how you weaved the events that took place over the course of Season 7 into it, especially how they related to their relationship.

I'm probably the only one who thinks this, but I loved how Sam said Daniel looked like a dork with his too-short haircut... I've sometimes felt that way myself, LOL. You are so rich with description (not just physical but emotional) and it really helps to see and hear everything in my head as I'm reading.

Great job! :D

Thank you so much! And I liked that one line myself, so I'm glad you noticed it. I did a lot of rewatching of season seven for this fic, and Daniel really did look like a dork with that haircut. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

No problem. lol, I used to hang out at this one forum and when that episode in question aired, a lot of people complained that the "poofy fluff" on Daniel's forehead was gone. Someone even joked that there should be a "Save Daniel's Bangs from Scissors-Happy Hairstylists" campaign. But I agree, he did look dorky with it. I'm glad he didn't keep it. ;)
