Blue Fridays.

It's a nice thought, but I do wonder if it is anything more than a gesture. Wearing a certain color is one thing - marching in the streets to demand that the troops come home from BOTH unwinnable wars is quite another. I would think that the second option would be a lot more likely to make the point intended.

For my part, it ticks me off quite a lot to see a sea of brassy blood red every Friday of college football season here in the hometown of the Nebraska Cornhuskers, and I make a point of *not* wearing red on those days. Nobody cares, though, because nobody notices that I'm trying to say something by avoiding a certain color on that day. If anyone does notice, they seem to assume it's an accident of wardrobe or that I just forgot. My suspicion is that nobody will much care about the blue-on-Friday movement for exactly the same reason - an accident of wardrobe that people happen to be wearing blue on the same day - and that any kind of political message will be completely lost.
