I know, I am so thrilled for your state!!! :-) In 2008 Prop 8 was really devastating to me, so I can only imagine how happy y'all must be up there. ♥ Plus three other states passed marriage equality as well! Amazing. And we will now have a record number of women in the Senate, all 18 of them.
I kind of stopped looking at the CA measure results a while ago because a handful of them weren't going the way I'd hoped*, but I wasn't nearly as invested in any of them as I had been in Prop 8, so they didn't ruin my night, haha. I'm still happy and relieved the election is over!
(*e.g., we had the opportunity to end the death penalty and so far that prop is losing 55-45%. But, idk, hopefully the fact that we even got it on the ballot this year will get us a step closer to abolishing it!)

I just got the results for WA same-sex marriage. 52-48 APPROVED. SERIOUSLY. CANNOT CONTAIN EXCITEMENT RIGHT NOW.
