Thinking about going to see a movie this afternoon, but I can't decide. The Hunger Games is not an option because I want to read the book first. Plus, the thought of sitting in a theater for two and a half hours, nooo thank you.

Poll at the theatre

ETA: Also, if you pick "read a book," feel free to give me a book rec in the comments. :-)

Thanks for the recs! I ended up going to see Jeff, Who Lives at Home, but I'll look these up so I can keep them in mind for next time. :-)

P.S. Sorry I've been so bad about responding promptly to comments! I was actually just about to go reply to your comments re: racist/homophobic humor in TV but I saw you deleted/screened the post. Which, no worries of course, but I did want to apologize for dragging my feet on responding.

How are you doing? Do you have any cool plans for this weekend?

would you reccommend that movie? based on the commercials for it, I wasn't sure if I wanted to see it. (horrid parodies and toilet humor are things I can't stand)

you have no need or reason to apologize; I can unscreen it if you like...I just had this fear I was going to get a reply from some Anon who says yeahthatsbad.but you can grow longer for her at {link} (yes, it was friends only, but these days, that doesn't always stop people - and I've already gotten one of those replies at a post I made with the Any Can See setting.

cool plans? um...I've just seen Hunger Games for the second time. (its surprisingly good)
other than that, not really. (have to babysit sister's dog tomorrow and night)

Seeing as I completely missed this, what did you end up doing?

I ended up seeing Jeff, Who Lives At Home! I liked it pretty well. It was a little different than I expected, a little more sad/melancholy, but also had a lot of funny, charming, and even surprising elements. In the previews I'd seen, Susan Sarandon's character (Jeff's mom) had appeared for like two seconds, talking to him on the phone, but she actually ended up having a lovely little storyline that was one of my favorite parts of the movie. Soooo, yeah! It was nice.

What did you do this weekend?

I had a pretty relaxing weekend. Cleaned the house and spent most of it in my pajamas marathoning Leverage for inspiration for my leverage_bingo card. I also spent most of the day Saturday with a good friend of mine from college who happens to be visiting family half an hour away from where I live now. :) That was pretty great. Going to see her again tomorrow since I'm off work for a doctors appointment. I need new eyeballs. Mine broke. (My glasses, not my actual eyeballs... although if I had a new pair of those I might not need glasses anyway. LOL.)

Sounds good! That's awesome that you got to hang out with your friend. :-) Did you get your new glasses? Are they cute? I can't believe you didn't post a picture of them, omg, don't you know what LJ is FOR?? :-P

Do you have any special Easter plans?
