PETA asks kids, if you wouldn't eat your dog, why eat a turkey?OKAY. 1) I am a vegetarian. 2) In general I think PETA is way over the top ridiculous. 3) I DO agree that people who differentiate between "pet" animals and "food" animals the way most Americans do have some weird cognitive dissonance going on that makes absolutely no sense to me. I think that ad is more likely to motivate kids to become genetic engineers when they grow up than it is to make them question their food choices. If you can make a dogturkey, the sky's the limit!

is this a bad time to mention "hey PETA, some people do eat dogs" ?

heck, pretty sure you don't have to live on a farm to know you can raise cows (and turkeys) to eat.

Haha, yeah, there were some comments at ONTD that were like, "So, if I say that I will eat a dog, you'll let me off the hook for the turkey thing, or...?"
