Did Numb3rs never have any Latina characters? Or am I just imagining that?

... Not any recurring ones that I remember. Which is worse than strange in a story set in California (or indeed in much of the contemporary US). :(

I know! I'm not exactly sure why I started thinking about this, other than, I guess, I got my numb3rs_newyear assignment the other day so I have n3 on the mind, and there was a Latina girl sitting across from me on the bus and I was sort of absently thinking how pretty she was...? idk my brain idk. But YES, so weird for a show based in LA. Whaaaat?

Do you mean like... victims or "main" characters?

I know that there were lots of Latina victims (regrettably).

Would Claudia Gomez be considered Latina?

And what about Jennifer Malloy (played by Lisa Vidal) from 3.20 Burn Notice?

I really meant any characters, but obviously was hoping for significant roles.

But you are absolutely right, I didn't think of Claudia! According to IMDb the actress who played her (Lauren Vélaz) is Latina.

I don't remember Jennifer Malloy! But okay, good to know there was someone else... and then there was an episode involving a Latin American consulate at some point, I think...?

OH YEAH. The consulate lady... episode 2.05 Assassin. I'm sure I could think of a couple other "bit part" roles but Claudia is the only one I can think of that was there more than once. I'm still sad she left but... if she hadn't left ten I would never have had my David/Liz obsession. :)

Haha, with every door that closes another opens, etc. :-P

It just struck me as a little weird, given that the show seemed to otherwise do a pretty good job of making the cast racially/ethnically diverse.
