I can't decide if I'm going to watch SPN this season. I guess I... probably will. It's the last, right? So I should. I've been less spoilerphobic about the upcoming season, so I've seen a few things about it, and... there was one thing that I thought was cool and made me want to watch it, and a couple of things that I didn't really have an opinion ( Read more... )

Hahaha. I have a feeling you will get your wish!

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I will, I guess. Sometime. I don't know why I feel so unmotivated to watch it! I have really weird issues about TV finales, though, TBH. There are like three other shows from last season I haven't watched the finales of either.

*snort* You'll have it watched by Christmas maybe. ;)

Finales feel weird because it's like The End.

With Friday Night Lights (which, btw, aren't you a football fan? You should totally be watching this show), the season finale aired before it had been announced if the show was picked up for another season, so I couldn't POSSIBLY watch it and then have there be NO MORE. But now even when it has been picked up, I still haven't watched the finale, so...

I finally did watch a couple of series finales during my insane amounts of TV watching over the summer (Six Feet Under, The Black Donnellys, Sports Night), and they do feel just very... final. But it seems like season finales shouldn't be a problem. Weird.

I'm feeling pretty "Meh!" about SPN this year, too. I think for me it's because I'm kind of squicked by the Angels and Demons storyline. I miss all the weird little mythologies and folk tales that got woven into the second and third seasons, once all the obvious urban legend tropes were used up in season 1.

The N3 finale was a lot of fun. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

SEE. I KIND OF HATE THE ANGELS THING TOO, a lot of the time. Sometimes I enjoy it, but overall it's just... too much! Maybe. And I also was really turned off/mortified by Monster at the End of This Book (or whatever the episode introducing Chuck the Prophet was) with its fandom references. I think I need to go back through S4 and just watch the episodes I liked, because I know there were definitely SOME. But yeah, like... Wendigo will always be one of my favorite SPN episodes.
