It's hot in the foyer. Don tries to ignore the sweat trickling down his back.
Beads of moisture cling to the receptionist's upper lip and he fantasizes about licking them away. She keeps looking at him like she knows what he's thinking. He grins and she pointedly looks down at her paperwork, but he spots a tiny smile playing at her lips.
The office door opens and Don stands expectantly. Sharp eyes study him from behind wire-framed glasses and he tries not to squirm under the gaze, his bravado of a minute ago forgotten.
"Ah. What have you done now?"
