"Guess you miscalculated that 'shortcut,' Professor," Coop said. A smirk threatened to break onto his face.
Charlie huffed in frustration. "I just... didn't have all of the variables. That tree..." he trailed off, biting his lip, like he was trying to figure out how to go back and fix the mental equation that had gotten them here.
Outside the rain continued to pour steadily down, tip-tapping against the trees and the roof above. Droplets clung to Charlie's curls, glossing his hair. Coop reached out and snagged a ringlet, tugging shortly.
"It's alright." He smiled. "Doesn't matter. We're inside now."
