this is my 'frustrated' icon

Okay, I really TRIED to solve this on my own, but I am giving up, so, you know... help me, flist, you're my only hope.

I have a Mac. On this Mac I have downloaded a .wma file. I want to play this file in iTunes. How do I turn it into an mp3 to do so??

I tried media-convert.com and it didn't work. I don't really want to download anything but I ( Read more... )

Hmmmm... iTunes should convert the .wma file into an .mp3 or an .aac file for you when you try to import the song into iTunes so you can play it there.

Did you try opening iTunes, going to File/Import and then selecting the file? I get a message every time that says something like iTunes is trying to open a file that is currently in .wma format. iTunes will convert this to an AAC file to play in iTunes. Then you select convert or skip.

I'm not sure if that's the same on Macs but I thought I'd at least try.

Haha, 10 AM is obviously STILL too early for my brain to work. Would it be possible for me to send you the wma file and have you convert it for me with your fancy PC and then send it back? Would that work? Maybe?
