I was putting together the newsletter and discovered that there was no fic posted today. So I figured I'd write some.

Cherry has bleached blonde hair and lips painted to match her namesake. A look of confusion flashes across her face briefly when Liz approaches her, twenty dollar bill tucked between two fingers. They tell her who they're looking for and she goes blank, a veneer of sincerity overcoming her carefully made-up face.
"I'm sorry," she says. "I don't know who that is."
Liz holds her gaze until Cherry breaks away, shifting. "We're not going to ask how you know where he lives. Just an address."
From behind her, Nikki presses two more twenties into Liz's hand.
Cherry reaches out.
