Food questions!

I discovered earlier that a Certain Person on my flist who shall remain nameless has never eaten hummus or falafel! And... didn't really even know what they were! So that got me wondering:

Interesting! I usually like hummus and I love falafel, but I hate tempeh. I ate it once in a dish that I liked, but every other time it's just tasted gross to me. :-/

Aww. A while back I was home alone for nearly a week, and I thought I was going to love it, but I quickly discovered that there are some things about living alone that kind of suck, including being uninspired to cook. It's a lot of work for just one person... and there's nobody else to do the dishes.

Been having TJ's hummus with pita for lunch as of late. Yum.

Mel actually went out in search of shawarma (yeah I know, not your thing) the other day and came home empty handed. Very disappointing for both of us. /frowns/ Now we want sushi but have no clue where's a good place for it. Yelp!

Hmm, I am not a sushi fan at ALL, so the only restaurant I know of is this little Vegan Japanese place on Shattuck just North of University.

Cool! I'm sorry I won't get a chance to try it out. Vegetarian tempura is yummy enough as it is. (Gah! Now I want tempura sweet potato!) The old veggie place I used to go for Asian food to was awesome. Their food was not just tasty but pretty too. They had one called Jewel Box that was just lovely.
