Aww... Can Dean make me cocoa and stroke my hair too?
Isn't it a lovely thought? :-) Lucky Sam.
I'm almost done with my homework too!
If Dean would actually show up at the end, I would've finished my homework days ago! I think I need to talk to my school about getting that service in effect. Hmm... Maybe we could start a petition?
Lovely little fic...
Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it. I'm still very much a beginner at this whole "writing" thing, so I'm always pretty unsure about what I write, but I actually liked this one, so I figured I'd post it.
You know something? I just realised how tactile your writing is. Seriously, I could smell Dean's jeans and feel the texture of Sam's hair. How do you do this?

Although Wincest squicks me, brothers being affectionate does not. Does that make sense? I don't see them as touchy feely but even in canon one can see that their personal space are a lot smaller with each other.
I'm so happy that it worked for you! :-) The only thing I can offer as to how tactile it is (in the case of this particular story, anyway), is that this one feels very personal to me--I think I based a lot of it on my own experiences... I've leaned against my older sister's legs like that dozens of times, my dad always gave me a sip of his beer, etc. It's always easier to describe something you've experienced yourself.
Other than that, who knows? :-)

Absolutely. I kind of wish people wrote affectionate non-Wincest more often. I think a lot of Wincesters like to look at that lack of personal space (and the fanon/canon idea that they shared a bed as kids) as a sexual aspect of their relationship (vindication for our dirty stories!), but really what it implies is a huge amount of comfort and trust, as well as probably a lack of space growing up. Sam was younger enough he probably had to hold Dean's hand when they crossed the street, and I'm sure

I agree with you on this. One hundred percent.

Noticed that when crossing roads and stuff Dean would hold Sam back or at least be on the side closer to traffic flow (re: Nightmare, Phantom Traveller). That kind of fraternal affection and concern goes both ways. And there are bits when you can see that Sam fell back into typical "little brother" pattern (e.g. looking at Dean for answers and the occasional rescue). But this camaraderie does not feel sexual at all

I can appreciate the Wincest and non-Wincest sides to the argument, so, yeah, I certainly see what you mean. :-)
The Black Donnellys was great at the beginning, for those first few episodes, but by the end I was getting a little frustrated by it. Each week I seemed to be liking fewer and fewer supposedly sympathetic characters. I guess they have some unaired final episodes online, and I do plan to check those out at some point, but I'm not in any hurry. I did very much like the first episodes, though. :-) (If you live in the US, you can watch TBD at nbc.com, just FYI.)
