So mercilynn and mustangcandi both posted "You know you're from [place] when..." lists, and it prompted me to Google "You know you're from California when," which... did not give me very many good results. A lot of them seemed very SoCal-centric. :-) But, anyway, one item that made me laugh was, "You know how to eat an artichoke."

I have definitely eaten artichokes, and know how to both cook them and eat them. *g*

Hmm... I don't really understand what "prepared" means, I think. What form were they in? Did you have to peel the leaves off?

didn't have to peel the leaves off...my friend had prepared them in some olive oil and...er...something else which i'm forgetting...but i kind of just popped it in my mouth and chewed. i was a fan *nod*
