"Yeah. Yeah we can." Rodney didn't smile, but he rolled his eyes and knocked John in the stomach with the back of his hand.

i loved everything, but this line was killing me. very male, very in character.

all of this is very beautifully written. you managed to keep the slow, almost relaxed pace throughout the whole story, even the painful parts were wonderful to read. and the end was just the right finish for this. thank you very much for sharing. :)

Argh. I hesitate to offer beta comments, but then I think "well I'd want to know..." so here goes. Two very minor things.

Missing word here: Hell of a time to figure out that Rodney's voice wasn’t the only [thing?] that revved him up.

and

Wrong word here: he could only catch the frantic rhythm of that words. ["that" should be "the"]

Hope I'm not offending you. Loved the story!

Oh beautiful, beautiful. The last line ties the progression of moments up into one weirdly delicate and lovely bundle. Lovely, and yet you've written them as total Guys, throughout, which in tandem is a pretty cool feat you've managed. ;)
