009 ~ [Voice/Action] | Back-dated to the Start of the Event

[As if this place wasn't crazy enough when one experiment was going on, now it seemed like there were dozens! The village was full of children, some people seemed so different from who they usually were, and even that strange public-thoughts experiment had returned. With so many things for the Malnosso to choose from this month, those unaffected ( Read more... )

It doesn't usually occur, but it has happened once before.

I see. In that case, hopefully this is not a new idea of their's for how to run the experiments from now on.

No, that's not very likely. It's more probable that something is going on there, and as usual the village has to deal with the results.

That does seem far more likely than the latter, yes.

I hope you haven't been too affected by what has been going on?

[Somebody was hit by the musical curse. And personality change. Have fun.]

♫ I don't know

Tell me, tell me now~
When will this curse be over? ♫

[And suddenly, Luceti: The Musical! ...what does he even say to this?]

...er, I wish I knew. The experiments generally last only a week, so hopefully this will all stop before the end of the month.

♫ Too long of a wait, if you ask me~
This was not what was supposed to be of my destiny! ♫

I know it seems that way now, but the week will be over before you know it. [You have his sympathy.]

[After a moment, he has an idea, adding to his comment by writing:] At least you can't write in song, right?

[Unfortunately Guy sees absolutely NO DIFFERENCE. Except that maybe Ion's voice is slightly higher than usual.]

It's happened once before, I think. If I'm remembering right.

Then perhaps this is the sort of thing they won't do very often. [Sounding a little relieved.]

Is everyone all right over there?

Ahhhh, for the most part. Luke's a child again so Asch took off. [Again.]

Luke is a child? I imagine he must be quite the handful. [There's a short, but rather girlish, giggle. Not at your expense, Guy, really!] At least you still have Natalia to help care for him, right?

[He's spoken with you once before... and hell, Sanji's still half-convinced you're a woman in denial.]

Dunno. I've only been here a year, but this is the first time I've seen anything like this.

[This experiment is only going to confirm that theory.]

That means it has been a while since they've tried something like this. I have already heard from others that this might have happened before, but a long time ago.

Maybe they're finally running out of ideas.

[Voice] soreplaceable November 24 2010, 11:14:16 UTC
Somehow I doubt that would be the case. I would think running out of ideas would mean an end to the experiments altogether... but that is just wishful thinking.

So this isn't the usual fare?

[voice] soreplaceable November 23 2010, 22:11:06 UTC
Not at all. Usually there's only one strange thing affecting the villagers during an experiment. This time, there are numerous and none of them seem very related.

So you're not seeing a pattern with this is what you're saying, right?

The only pattern I've seen is from people claiming some of these experiments have happened before. That aside, it all appears to be rather random.
