I went to see Diamanda Galas at the New Hazlett Theatre on the North Side. Pittsburgh seems to have been her only American date on the current tour (her next date is in Slovenia). This sounds amazing...I would have loved to have gone with you.

I would have cried to hear Jacques Brel songs too, but then again, I'm sentimental for France so I get teary-eyed whenever I see or hear anything remotely related to France.

I was really happy to hear some Jacques Brel. I love the expiremental noise stuff and I love chanson, so both in one night was just fantastic.

She's coming my way in about 6 weeks and though I'm expecting expensive, I think it will be worth it. She is an incredible woman. PS I haven't heard from you in ages. Please write.

It was $20 here, but I don't know if show prices in Prague are comprable. You should totally go to the City of Women festival in Slovenia! Though I guess Slovenia is actually pretty far away.
