I went to the dentist today completely prepared that he'd find a cavity that would need fixing since I've been extremely sensitive to sweet stuff the past three weeks (as in 'pain. lots of pain.'). Turns out there was nothing there. Beautiful teeth, no need to drill ( Read more... )

No idea. They'll do an x-ray again next year, unless it gets worse, in which case I'm supposed to call them. I'm pretty sure the one at an angle will go at some point. The other two don't cause any problems at the moment so they're less of a concern and will be left alone until it changes. The sensitivity might go away or might stay. It's only when I eat sticky, sweet stuff it hurts, so for the moment that angled one is left alone, too :/

=/ that's terrible. *hugs* poor baby. the impacted one should go, though. Mine weren't even really hurting and we took both out, because they're impacted. I'm missing my fourth, too- the third one's out straight. One dentist said I should extract it because it bites into the gum below, the other said if it's not hurting let sleeping dogs lie. still not an issue, although occasionally the gum does get infected. but nothing gargling with listerine didn't cure.

*laughs* but you're right, at least it means you'll eat well, no?

Actually, it should stay for as long as possible as long as it doesn't cause damage :/ Same with the others. They're easier to pull out the further out they are and at the moment, they aren't even visible as anything other than a slight bumb behind my back teeth. It'll be less intrusive and all if we can wait until they've grown a bit more.
