Larxene and Vexen scenes in English. More Larxene, Vexen, and Axel, plus Marluxia.

My impressions:

Larxene sounds really young, which is weeeeird. She's not bad, per se, but...yeah. She sounds too young. Not quite nasty enough for my liking. The voice doesn't complement her. (el oh el at 'valet', though

I think Larxene is actually playing the part well, even though she seems a little off. She sounds like she's actually trying to have fun with it.

Quinton Flynn sounds more bored with Axel than he should. Considering all the intrigue Axel gets into, he should at least pretend like he's his usual snarky self.

Marluxia sounds so disappointingly flat. I'm glad they didn't try shoehorning Liam O'Brien into the role, but I'm still not impressed by who they got. I agree that he should sound charismatic. He's the primary antagonist, FFS.

Vexen's voice fits, but when he talks I keep hearing, "I am Azazer" (Star Ocean 3) and have to giggle.

I'm still not used to little!Sora with HJO's older voice, though. It's weird. XD;

I'm glad she's having fun with it and doesn't sound flat, because that would be REALLY wrong.

Re: Axel: yeah, seriously. I mean, I get that Axel's got a different role going on in CoM, but Quinton Flynn sounds...yeah.

Re: Marluxia: Primary antagonist, convinced people to betray the Organization, got put in charge of his own castle...he should be more animated for certain. Feh.

A lot of people keep associating Vexen's VA with other people, and it is lolsome. XD

HJO's older voice IS weird, though there's not a lot to be done about it. XD

I haven't gotten to many of the newer voices, so I kind of have to hold off judgment on Marluxia. The way that he inflects on some of his sentences (a lot of them go uuuuuup at the end) is a little weird to me.

My problem with RE:COM was that I think the Japanese cast is like. Perfect. I think so far, though, if I hadn't heard the Japanese version, I wouldn't have much problem with it. older!HJO voice would probably be really weird, but Sora's Japanese voice isn't exactly high-pitched.

...What do you mean, off their cues? I've heard a couple people say that, but I'm not sure what they mean. The game didn't get redone to match English lip-flaps, so the Voice Actors are matching to the original Japanese lip flaps. I think they're doing a fairly decent job of it.

Marluxia's inflection IS weird.

I agree, part of it is bias because the Japanese cast is great, but...yeah. Not a lot they can do about older HJO, really. XD

I. guess because. they have. some. weird...inflections and. pauses? XD I know they're working with the Japanese lip movements, but it still sounds strange.

I really can't believe that the guy doing Marluxia is Basch. Mostly because, dude, what the CRAP. The only thing I can think is that maybe they just had a day or two and could only do a couple takes? Or it might be the script, really, but still.

I laughed SO HARD when I found out it was Captain Marluxia fon Ronsenburg of Oblivion. I mean. HAHAHAHA.
