OMG HERSHEY I KINDA MISS IT. T_TshigeruhikoNovember 17 2009, 09:08:04 UTC
Oh wow, those pictures make me all homesick! Ahhhh you were fifteen minutes from my home! Now, if only *I* were there, ahh . . .
People I went to high school with used to work on the trolley, but maybe during the summers and such. Was there singing? 'Cause It hink it was a bunch of the musical kids who always did it. Now that I'm older and I wouldn't have to see people I went to school with, I wonder if the trolley is worth the time and money? I am pretty much a sucker for hometown history now that I've left the country. Even if my hometown isn't *quite* Hershey.
Congratulations on the boy front! 8D I know it's been something that's weighed heavily on your mind for awhile, so I am REALLY glad this has worked out for you!
Wow, I never knew November could be that warm :o Was the Trolley adventure one of those things where people dress up and convince you you're really living in the past? I love those things. I'm a sucker for stuff like that, even though it IS cheesy as heck.
I'm so glad it worked out too :) Chris looks like a really gentle, kind person; he has that 'd'awww, I'm in a photo and I like it' look. :D
They dressed in vintage clothing but did not try to convince us we have gone back in time. It was quite fun. I'm now curious as to what the summer adventure is like.
What was a bit frustrating was that the park was open to walk about in, but none of the rides were running since they were already shut down for the season. If the weather had been more seasonably cold, there would have been no frustration about the lack of running rides.
I did not know this but they decorate most of the amusement park with lights which I'm told is quite beautiful when it gets dark. Maybe one of these days it will be an overnight trip to see them.
This entry was a delight to read. I'm pleased by this news.
I vaguely remember taking that trolley ages ago, circa '88 or so. Good times- Visited Hershey with my Dad's brother Carl the train/transit buff and my cousin.

I've always wanted to do the Christmas in Hershey, but yeah, I'd probably be more in the spirit after Thanksgiving.

The lights are probably what people have told me I should go see.
