I totally didn't realise The Stone Key was out so soon, so I was all excited when I saw it at the library, and then I realised I need to reread the first four before I start it. And - just my luck - neither library on campus has The Farseekers and The Keeping Place in, so probably I'll have to return TSK before I get up to it. XD Oh well, yay for reserves \o/
I didn't realise it was either, but one of my best friends told me about it over Christmas when she came down to visit. I couldn't believe it, it's been ages! Despite having read the first 4 books several times, I only owned Keeping Place, but I had a Borders voucher to spend before I left Aus, and they had "3 for 2" on the first 3, so I bought them ^^
Someone on my flist mentioned it being pushed back to February a few months ago, but I didn't really pay attention. I mean, I read the other four in primary school, I thought she'd die without finishing them. D: I very rarely buy books - the only series I buy new are ASOIAF and Young Wizards - so I have an op-shop copy of Obernewtyn, but not the others.
Hi hi! Umm...just wondering, what are you actually doing over there? I thought it was for a holiday or something, but it sounds a lot more long-term than taht! >_<
Hiiii K-chan! *glomps* Heh, well, it's been a bit holiday-ish so far, but unfortunately I'm actually here to study. I'm here on exchange with Delft University for a semester! :D
I don't know how to speak dutch!!! >_< Do they have nice chocolate over there? (have i even got the right language?)
ZOMG..!!! I haven't sent the stuff to your grandma yet...but...CAN I SEND IT TO YOU OVER THERE?! I don't really send that much stuff...and i can't promise it instantly, but i'd love to attempt to get time to rush to the post office during my 8-5:30 job to send you something!!! XD XD XD Could you email me your address over there?
I don't know how to speak Dutch either! XD Everyone (mostly) speaks English, though, so it's not too bad. Also, there's a lot of words similar to German and French, so I can sometimes work out the gist of written stuff (ie. menus) ZOMG, there's this place I found in a mall near here where you can get this huge box of assorted handmade chocolates for €7.50, which is like AU$12 *___* They are to diiiie for! You'd pay like $30+ for something like it in Aus!
You can send it here if you want :DDDD I'm not sure how much it'd cost, but I'd much rather get it here then wait until June/July for it! *goes a-searchin' for your email address*
Anita Blake is going to survive as a cautionary tale of how not to write, I think. I tapped out of the series with Danse Macbre and wasn't even tempted by the Harlequinn (any book deannawol says isn't worth it is an auto-red-flag)
XD The fact that Bon says it's not worth it is indeed caution enough. If it broke her trash meter it must truly truly be awful. *grin* Is it wrong that I'm now possibly also reading to see if Jean-Claude and Richard ever end up making a proper 3rd side to the triangle? >.>
