weights and measures

Few people mean to be insensitive pricks. Duress sometimes makes them feel like they have to say something when really there's nothing you want to hear. Other times, they think they're helping by pointing out how bad things either are for other people or how much worse it might have been for you. In their heads, they're offering support, but it always comes across as trying to disallow your feelings, as though you are, for some reason, not entitled to them. Not every time we cry do we cry for help and there are few polite ways to tell them to suck eggs.
I think the AMA uses the single snake coiled around a staff, but I know EMTs and fire and rescue use the caduceus. However, I think the emphasis is on speed and responsiveness.
The weight gain is good news. With the added 40 dram you're almost 15 hectograms. Have they done any length measurements recently? My rough guess is you're about 8 fingerbreadths shy of a cubit.

Mommy should have told the Doctor that he should be thankful that someone with a bedside manner such as his, is able to work in a hospital at all.
