J'ai decidé d'abandonner mon passeport britannique en faveur du français.

Pourquoi? C'est simple. Les anglais ont complètement oublié comment jouer au rugby. Ce sont des idiots!!

You've decided to abandon your Brittish passport in favor for your France? Why? You say it's simple but all I can understand after that is rugby something which I believe has to do with the commenting guy and idiots.

I'm glad anyone understood that much of what I typed, because I haven't practiced writing French for far too long! (and me understanding Swedish isn't ever likely to happen *lol*)

Basically: "I've decided to give up my British passport in favour of my French one because the English have totally forgotten how to play rugby and are a bunch of idiots - head!desk."

I wasn't all that happy with the result of the France v England rugby match at the time (though I've got just as much right to cheer for either side) - I just happen to prefer England because I grew up here :)

I'm really amazed that I typed that mini-rant coherently! Speaking French isn't too hard, but writing hasn't cropped up much since I left school - I always get the feeling that my verb endings are all over the show.

As for the rugby, we still have the World Cup for another year *shrug* I'm a very bad and generally fickle supporter actually - too many affiliations and I can never be bothered watching anything but international matches :)

It doesn't quite have the same ring as "head!desk" though, does it? Too many syllables and the rolling r just get in the way of spontaneous GAHness :)
