But who better to sit next to Fate than her newly recruited Vice President of the anime club?

"Fate-chan!"

Kazumi hadn't actually quite sat down just yet, though, and was just standing there with her bento box.

"Um... is it okay if I sit here?"

"A-ah Kazumi-chan, yes um please sit." She smiled up at her, blushing a little as she budged over to allow the girl to sit down.

"Hows your first day?"

Kazumi gingerly sat down next to Fate.

"W-well, it's a lot better than I thought it was going to be..." she said, "Was yours good, too?"

She'd never really had anybody to sit down with to have school lunch before, so she was clearly a bit awkward at this.

"Ah, well a lot of people were coming to talk to me again, since I'm a returning student." Fate blushed and rubbed her head nervously. "I um... haven't had the heart to throw away the love letters though. My locker was packed with them."

The nice quiet place (some non-threatening gazebo somewhere, maybe?) turned out to be occupied by someone who had been exceedingly quiet. Apparently, the other girl had sought a quiet place herself, and had been standing at the side, balancing what looked like two dolls. Somehow, one seemed to be walking up her arm, causing the girl to giggle.

At which point she noticed someone else being there.

"Uhm...!"

She quickly took both dolls down, and looked at Fate, seeming to be surprised.

Fate jerked in surprise at said spot being occupied. She fumbled her notebook and tried to find the words but it slipped from her hands. "S-sorry," she stammered. "I didn't know this was occupied..."

Fate blushed as she gestured towards the spot. "Can I sit for lunch with you?"
