slythindor100's H/D LDWS Round Three. The prompt was Mirror of Erised.
Moonlight lit Draco's path as he crept down the corridor towards a blank stretch of wall. While his fellow repeat-seventh years celebrated the coming winter hols, Draco was retreating to the Room of Hidden Things alone to think. Surprisingly, he found the place quite peaceful.
Usually, Draco opened the door to find a comfortable chair and book by the hearth, but that was not the case now. The room was completely barren but for a tall, gilded mirror. Draco saw the inscription along the top of the frame and drew a startled breath.
It can't be...the Mirror of Erised...
Draco had of course heard of this mirror's power, and his eager feet unconsciously brought him closer to witnessing his deepest desire.
Taking a deep breath, Draco stepped in front of the mirror. The man looking back at him had an all-too-familiar mop of black hair. Draco whimpered, and mirror-Harry's eyes glowed hungrily. His gaze shifted, and suddenly there appeared another figure. Open-mouthed, Draco watched himself snogging Harry Potter to within an inch of his life.
"Beautiful, aren't we?"
Draco whirled around; the real Harry stood gazing at him with a familiar hunger.
Just like that, Draco's desires became reality.
