Hey, just coming over from the ljspeaks community.

You expressed interest in being a moderator for the community, so I just wanted to ask you two very quick questions:

1) In your eyes, what do you feel the purpose of ljspeaks is?

2) What sort of entries would you feel are not appropriate for ljspeaks?

I've been thinking about this for some time, and to be honest, I don't think I do want to be a mod any more. There are a few reasons for this; one is possibly that the comm is turning out a little differently than I had hoped it would. I tend to stick with facts; I don't really like opinionated communities that much. Also, I don't really understand the reason that http://community.livejournal.com/ljspeaks/7158.html was posted; I don't really see how it relates to ljspeaks' stated purpose at all, as it's not to do with LJ (except tenuously) - instead, it's more of an opinion piece. I don't really see that it has a place in the comm. As such, if I had been a mod, I would have rejected the post as not being in line with the comm's purpose. Seeing that it was approved, however, I assume that our goals are subtly different ( ... )
