Had a wonderful day/evening with my baby son Steven. Took a ride out to his school cuz it is more than apparent that he is not coming home til he has to. Anyway, we shopped and then had dinner at Bertucci's at the mall. While we were there, he got a text to go check the call-back posting board ( Read more... )

Thanks for that! I usually feel like there is so much more that I should or could or would do, but last night I was able to really enjoy the moment.

That is so nice that you got to share in this accomplishment with him. Once they are more on their own, we parents don't get a chance to be a part of these special moments with them. You were truly lucky!

The chances of my being with him for this were really slim. A friend of his texted him during dinner. He had looked at the list but didn't want to ruin it for Steven by just blurting it out. Some kids want to see the list themself.

It was awesome. We hugged and laughed.
