Merlin and Slash

I was thinking of watching the new BBC series Merlin because Anthony Stewart Head is supposedly in it.
I looked at the newbie guide for Merlin and apparently Merlin/Arthur is the most popular pairing. I haven't seen a slash pairing become the most popular ship of a show since Jack/Ianto on Torchwood.  I'm very intrigued. I'm definitely going to
