I started doing yoga a couple weeks ago. It's really great! I love it so far. It's amazing how many odd poses you can do when you just press weight down into your feet. It reminds me of when I was rock climbing as a teen and when I would slip, they'd say to "put your weight on it ( Read more... )

On my way home tonight, I was standing on the subway platform, and a young woman fell into the gap between the platform and the train! It was on the 4/5/6 platform at Union Square, which is curved, so the gap is a bit bigger than normal. I was playing Nintendo DS, not paying too much attention because it wasn't the train I needed. I just got home from seeing Reign Over Me. That is possibly the strongest tear jerker ever made. But it was really good. Different, too.

As a side note, it is mildly surreal to see a movie filmed largely in your neighborhood and then step out of the theater into that neighborhood. :)
