Hmmm. We have some Lush stores here in NYC, but I haven't shopped there because I've been trying to cut out SLS and other assorted unpronounceables. They use them sparingly, but they're still on the ingredient list.

Agree. Even companies that don't test their final product on animals often test the components. Or utilize independent research that has already been done using animals.

I also wonder about whether people who claim to be anti-animal testing would refuse medical treatment because the medicines were tested on animals. Or refuse a procedure or surgery because it was tested on animals.

Yeah... I mean if you wanted to start a soap company, there probably isn't an ingredient out there that hasn't at some time been tested on animals.

And yeah, word.

Animal testing is just an ugly fact of life.
