There are some that would argue whether I can or not. Some believe Awakened beings are all alike, mindless monsters with no recollection of who they were before they evolved from their former states. It's not true, of course.

Frankly, I cannot say I understand her as well as people think I should. We may be of a species that is one and the same, but her mind is not my mind, and our individual wants are very different. Is it not like that for most sentient beings, regardless of race or species?
