Shawn was still in the process of hauling his stuff over to the cabin from the dorms.

He found Tannim on the steps when he came back with his second load, and raised a hand in greeting. "Hey, cabin mate?"

Tannim glanced up and pulled his earphones off. "Hey, fellow Salamander," he said with a smile.

"Being a Salamander definitely wins way more cool points than being an Aye-aye," Shawn decided. He grinned back at Tannim. "Don't think we've really met properly, have we?"

"I'm Tannim," Tannim said, offering his hand. "What's an Aye-Aye?"
