I just want to say that this deserves more reflection and response than I have the wherewithal to give it right now, and I do hope to get back to it, but in case I don't (you know how THOSE posts go - you think, "wow, I want to sit down and right a proper comment on that!" and then life intervenes, so the best posts get the fewest comments...) I didn't want it to be left uncommented on.

Did the gods cast us in their image, or did we cast the gods in our own image?

To which I personally believe the answer is simply, "Yes."

I love this as an exploration of *why* it's so important to expand our images of the divine beyond cissexist male-female-polarity nonsense. It's hurting people and it doesn't make sense anyway.
