Now I'm curious, so bewareee would having a lot of comic book/TV/cartoon refs ruin a book for you guys or would you dig it? Different books appeal to different audiences. This would give the nerds something to relate to :D

True, mostly mine is half satire half werewolf/magical bullshit book. So I know I will alienate the teenybopers who don't know who half the characters are xD

Meh, mostly the character has an radish image on his clothing and it was easier to use then "Rhino who smells funky"

How can someone not get those references? I thought they were rather clever, while still keeping it vague enough to be 'gotten' by audiences of various knowledge on the subject.

Mostly my 'Otaku' friends who mostly gobbled anime for breakfast, lunch and dinner kinda vaguely blinked when I talked about comics.

Thank you, I'm trying to keep it from being totally obvious and fit in with the characters way of speaking. She's a snarky bitch who read comics so it couldn't be helped in some ways.
