In happy news . . .

Farah Mendlesohn's Rhetorics of Fantasy just arrived at my door today. citycountrygirl and I learned the hard way that you don't let such a find lay in the bookroom, even for a day, even if there appear to be plenty of copies on hand.

I haven't been this excited to read lit crit in a long time.

I've been packing boxes for the summer, and I've grabbed as many fairy tale related things as I could. Still can't seem to find my Yeats study of Celtic folklore, but here are the other gems:
---3 internat'l Cinderellas (eg, Persian Cinderella, etc... figured those'd be good since the course is supposedly gonna focus on Ol' Ashy)
---3 different collections of Grimms tales
---2 of Hans Christian Anderson
---several (idk how many) generic "fairy tales for your children" type deals
---Arabian Nights
---1 Disney Cinderella
---various collections/encyclopedias of folklore/mythology in general

I have a collection of Slavic myths and another of Chinese tales if you'd like those boxed and brought.

Oh, and various writerly books, which reminds me: can you bring this book you're posting about?
