I henna-ed my hair last night using the block-o-henna from Lush. After I chopped it up, I realized that one block isn't enough to do my hair. When I saw the news last night they didn't know about the lawsuit (or I didn't hear that part) so it looked like he was resigning because he was gay.

It's a different family dynamic than "normal" and I'm REALLY cynical about politicians to begin with... I am concerned for the kids, even if he really did have them because he and his wife wanted kids, because they're going to get hell for their dad being gay...

You make it sound like he just discovered his sexuality. If he was going to resign because he's gay, he had three years to do it.

I figured he'd been keeping it under wraps, because it could harm him politically, but when I heard the story last night, they had no idea why he was doing this now.

Speculations included that he was doing this to stir debate about homosexuality, to force discussion and such...

Only today did I find out he was being blackmailed/threatened with a lawsuit by his former lover (?) for sexual harassment... Frankly it makes sense to reveal it this way rather than have it come to light a a trial, which would make it a big scandal...
