Kira had decided to wait a while himself before he showed up. He knew Lacus had went to help prepare for this occasion and he didn't want to ruin her surprise. Not to mention that he still had some last minute things he wished to complete.

After all that, he finally appeared at the door. Kira raised his hand slightly and softly knocked at the door. If he was too early, he didn't want to bust in on the surprise.

Uta hurries to the door to answer. Ecstatic, despite herself.

"Kira! Come in, we were waiting for you~!"

The Coordinator was pleasantly surprised by the girl's enthusiasm. Well, he supposed he would be excited too if he had been planning a party for this long and have the day finally arrive.

"Thank you. I hope you don't mind if I invited a couple of my friends."

She shakes her head and grins at him.

"Of course not! This is you party as well as Lacus' and Konata's. And I think we have more than enough food, don't you think?

"Besides, I love to meet you friends too~"

Yuuko showed up around nine-thirty, wearing a pink kimono and a smile. Something about Uta-- her sweet innocence, perhaps-- reminded her of what Clow had told her of his little heir, Sakura, in her youth. She rather liked the little girl.

It had been a rough thing this week, losing Yuui, but she knew they would meet again. They already had, in fact. So the thing to do now was to enjoy the time they had here, like she'd told Uta earlier in the day.

Her smile was genuine, even if her mind was focused on deeper things.

Uta had never met Yuuko-san in person before, but when she finally did see her at the door, she was amazed. Yuuko was tall, beautiful, and her jet black hair was well kept, despite the length. Her kimono suited her very well too. It was as if Uta was looking at a beautiful Japanese painting.

That lasted for a few seconds before Uta realized she was staring. She blushed, embarrassed and said, "...ah! Yuuko-san! I'm glad you could make it!"

"Uta," she said, smiling at the girl's reaction. She was used to having that sort of effect on people. The theatrics came with the job. "It's nice to meet you in person."

"It's very nice to meet you too~" She giggles softly and continues, "I thought you'd look pretty in person, but I never imagined how beautiful you really were..."

Wait, Uta thought to herself. Did that sound creepy?!

She blushed deeper and flailed a little. "Ah, please help yourself with the food and drinks."

There way no way Jun (and Hiiragi) would pass up spending time with Uta, and the return of a former student had Hiiragi in a decent mood. Actually, he had been planning to ask Uta if she wanted violin lessons as well...

The brothers headed next door, Hiiragi knocking softly and waiting for Uta to answer.

Uta went to the door to answer, happy to have her guests arrive. She opens the door to find Hiiragi and Jun, and she could not help but blush upon greeting them.

"Hiiragi-senpai! Jun~! Please come in~"

Perhaps among all the guests she had, they were most important to her...

That Setsuna didn't know how to act or what to do at a party was a complete understatement.

Still, he figured that accepting Uta's invitation wasn't a bad thing, and she didn't appear to be a threat. He also didn't have much to lose, anyway, and it could be a good time to collect more information on the City and its inhabitants to relay to Tieria.

He knocked.

Setsuna may not have known what to do at a party, but that was all right, because Lockon was there to help him out. "Since you missed Umi's party," he was saying as Setsuna knocked, "maybe this can help make up for it."

He decided not to mention that at Umi's party, Nena had assaulted them over Setsuna's absence. He didn't want to cast a dark cloud over this event, after all.

She knew this guy... though she couldn't place it at first, distracted with how cute he was. Perhaps a few seconds passed before she could say something...

"Oh, you're..!"

The guy with the other haro was what she was thinking, but stopped herself and laughed, "Lockon!"

"Uh-huh, that's me," he said, grinning down at her, making no mention of the pause--regardless of how awkward it might have been. "So you're Uta! It was nice of you to have this party. There aren't enough in the City, I think."

Umi felt this had been a bit of a mistake, even if she'd been invited by one of the party's hosts. She didn't think she knew any of the other guests personally. So, feeling slightly self-conscious in her casual attire (how come she'd neglected to ask Kira if it was a formal occasion or not??) she waited to see what came of it.

It was Konata's place, after all. So she'd have a buddy to talk to, if this turned out to be a room full of strangers. At least she hoped she'd get to say hi to Kira.

"This must be the social season," Yuuko remarked, approaching Umi with a flute of wine in one hand. She smiled at the girl.

"I didn't know you'd be here."

"Yuuko? Neither did I, actually! It was a last minute thing." Umi smiled at the sorceress, obviously relieved to find at least one familiar face in the gathering. "So you're a friend of any of the hosts?"

"I think Uta thought I needed cheering up," she said, sounding slightly amused. "Sweet kid."
