I went to give my condolences to Li Mei. The poor dear seems inconsolable. Mei and Peng were married for something like forty years. I wanted to attend Peng's funeral, but Mei's taking him back home, to Xing. Xingian custom dictates that his wake is held in his family home, with his entire family in attendance.
